Meet your Somerset councillor for Lydeard
Mike lives in Bishops Lydeard and is a qualified town planner and environmental consultant.
As well as a keen cyclist and glider pilot, he has been a passionate local campaigner in the area for decades.
Key successes in recent years include forcing our councils to build a roundabout at Bishops Lydeard junction, persuading the County Council to reverse some of the waste recycling site closures and supporting parish councils in reducing speed limits. He was also integral in getting the Firepool site delivered.
He is Executive Member for Economic Development Planning and Assets on Somerset Council.
