For the last 20 years Ray has served as a councillor on a local Parish Council, the District Council and the County Council. 

He feels that this long experience will be of great benefit to a new council as it establishes itself. Ray has long considered that Somerset's county town needs its own Town Council if it is to reach its full potential.
