Taunton & Wellington transport survey: Have Your Say
Young people across Taunton and Wellington are being asked for their views on public transport – and particularly local bus services.
An online survey is now live, launched by Taunton and Wellington MP, Gideon Amos, with the support of James Lawson, one of Somerset’s representatives at the national Youth Parliament.
Publicised across schools and colleges, students are encouraged to have their say.
Gideon said: “Young people are an extremely important group that relies on public transport. That's why I want to know their views on what is working for them and, more importantly, what isn’t.
“We’ll be collating all the information into a report which we will then take to transport operators and local authorities as part of our drive for improvements in line with people's wishes and needs.
James added: “I'm pleased to support Gideon in his efforts to deliver meaningful improvements to public transport and to the services which provide young people with safe, reliable, and essential travel options.
“This survey represents a thoughtful and practical step forward, driven by our desire to see direct, positive outcomes for young people in our communities.
“I'm proud to be involved in an initiative which listens to young people’s experiences and works to turn their feedback into real change.”
Any young people, who don’t see the survey, can ask for a copy at their school or college office. Alternatively email OfficeofGideonAmos@parliament.uk.
