Christmas... signed, sealed, delivered
Seven-year-old Archie Mackenzie has won this year’s competition to design a Christmas card for Gideon Amos, MP for Taunton and Wellington.
Gideon chose Archie’s entry as the winner from entries submitted via The Den Coffee House, the recently opened inclusive SEND hub and café in Taunton.
He said afterwards: “Thanks to all the children who entered - it was a really tough choice. Well done to Archie on his entry which was lovely and a worthy winner.”
Claire Naylor, founder of The Den, added: “Loads of children came in to create their designs and it was great fun. We didn’t tell Archie he had won, so it was a big surprise when Gideon broke the news. He was absolutely thrilled.”
Gideon also took the opportunity to present his Christmas card to Sir Lindsay Hoyle, Speaker of the House of Commons, at a Christmas Reception in Speaker’s House at the Palace of Westminster.
